Graduating from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow, obtained her master from the university of Lucknow and Ph.D. from the university of Allahabad. Dr. Poonam Singh's interest is multi-dimensional. She has been in the teaching profession for the last twelve years and is still continuing. Her other research interests include social background of Indian nationalism, reservation and its political implication and Non-Alignment in the twenty-first century.
