ABOUT THE AUTHOR K. Sambasivan

K. Sambasivan is working as Assistant Librarian (Selection Grade) in the Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has completed 22 years of service in various capacities in the field of Library and Information service. He has started his Professional career in the University of Calicut. Then he served as Sub-editor in the Central Reference Library housed at the National Library, Calcutta for a few years and later joined in the Cochin University service. Sambasivan has published 25 articles in Malayalam and English on various aspects of Library and Information Science. He has undergone many short term courses on various specialized areas of his profession. He has also membership in various professional bodies like ILA, KLA, IASLIC, KELPRO etc. Having attended and presented papers in many seminars/conferences, he is well known in the profession. He also attended refresher courses in Library & Information Science in various parts of the country. He has MA (Political Science) and BLISc from Kerala University and MLSc from Madras University. At present he is doing Ph. D under the faculty of Technology in the Cochin University of Science & Technology.
