The Islamic republic of Iran has contiguously attracted world attention after the Revolution in `979. Iran under the leadership of Ayatollah Khomeini and his policies towards US, Europe, Middle East and rest of the world has always been significant for policy makers, diplomats, political analysts, academicians and researchers all over the world. Rise of moderates in Iranian politics under the leadership of former President Mohammed Khatami, conflict between moderates have once again brought Iran into international focus. Iran as an active political player has also influenced the political discourse in the West Asia.
