ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sk. Ishtiaque Ahmed

Sk. Ishtiaque Ahmed has obtained doctoral degree from Centre of Persian and central Asian Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has written several research articles in leading academic journals and newspapers of Indian Persian language, literature and culture. Besides English and Urdu, he also has proficiency to read, write and speak Persian language. Presently, he is working with Government of India, New Delhi as Junior Grade Officer of Group ‘B’ India Information Service nonetheless his interest in Persian studies, Indo Iran relations and Iran and international affairs is profound and commendable. His reviews on books of Persian and Islam published in The Statesman and research journals are equally absorbing.
