ABOUT THE AUTHOR Maqsooda Sarfi Shiotani

Maqsooda Sarfi Shiotani is living in Japan for last twenty years. She got M.A. (History) and Ph.D. from Kashmir University. Her Ph.D. thesis was titled ‘Socio-Cultural Trends in Modern Mongollia’. She met her future husband in Mongolia, now an Associate of Foreign Studies. She is also running business in Japan, which gives her exposure to wider sections of Japanese and Indian societies. As a social activist she is associated with many organizations in some of which she has official position.
