The present work is a pioneering effort to bridge to some extent, the gap that exists in Library and information Science due to scarcity of empirical research. The study has been undertaken to measure the level of job involvement of library professionals working in Social Science Libraries. It also endeavours to examine the relationship between job involvement and some demographic, and organizational factors.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mahavir Singh
Mahavir singh (b. 1958) a professional of high repute holds three master degrees in History, Sociology and Library & information Science. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree in Library and Information Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. His area of specialization includes documentation in social Science. He has been working at National Social Science Documentation Centre. ICSSR since 1985. An author of a number of research articles he is a life-member of Indian Library Association.
