Labour Movement in the Modern Society: Socio – Economic and Democratic Ideology

The Labour Movement is the oldest Social Movement seeking to transform society in the name of universal values, with the objective of creating a society that meets the needs and aspirations of all human beings. The Labour Movement has been inspired and organized by many different ideologies: Marxism in various interpretations, revolutionary and conservative syndicalism, Christian social doctrines, Radical Liberation Movements, and others. Each derives its values and objectives from its own traditions, but they share a common ground, which by now constitutes the culture of the mainstream.
