Land Reforms and Farm Diversity

Since the mid-1960’s, the traditional agricultural practices are gradually being replaced by modern technology and farm practices in India and a veritable revolution is taking place in our economy. Agrarian revolution in the form of Green Revolution, new agricultural strategy, transformation from mono-dropping to multi-cropping system, the development of farm diversity, National Agricultural Policy 2000, Second Green Revolution or Third Revolution have enabled farm diversity and land reforms. Land reform aims at redistributing ownership holding form the view point of social justice and optimum utilization of land alleviation of poverty. This book is the first systematic attempt to make a micro study of co-relation between form-diversity and land reform through various significant issues, concepts, review of literature from First Five Year Plan to Tenth Plan in a quite lucid, simple and systematic manner.
