ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sara Ramser Beck

Sara Ramser Beck, B.A., MLS, MBA, is Manager of the Business Science, and Technology Department at the St. Louis Public Library in Missouri. Ms. Beck has also worked in Public service positions at Washington University, the University of Missouri, St. Louis and, the Acquisitions Department at St. Louis University, and Kent State University. She is an active member of the American Library Association and has served on the Business Reference in Public Libraries and Copyright committees. Ms. Beck is an active member of the special Libraries Association, where she has held many offices, including President in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area Chapter. A prolific writer, Ms. Beck has written articles for a variety of publications, including a monthly newspaper column on library resources for the Canton Repository.
