Living Arrangements and Health Conditions of Elderly in Rural India

This book based on the Ph.D. thesis of the author has two parts. The first part which is based on the secondary data focuses on the levels and trends in population ageing at the Global, National and State level. The second part which is based on the primary data collected from 900 elderly selected from three different districts of Tamil Nadu focuses on the living arrangements and health conditions of elderly in rural areas. This book is expected to be very useful for the programme planners, policy makers and researchers who are involved in the study of ageing.
