ABOUT THE AUTHOR S. Srikanta Swamy

Dr. S. Srikanta Swamy is a Professor of Education, I.A.S.E., R.V. Teachers College, Jayanagar, Bangalore. He has been teaching Educational Psychology and Advanced Educational Psychology for B.Ed. as well as M.Ed. course, since two decades. He obtained his Ph.D. from Bangalore University in the area of Critical Thinking Skills. He has been guiding Ph.D. students. As the co-ordinator of I.A.S.E., he has organized number of In-service Programmes for the benefit of teachers and teacher educators. Prof. Swamy has contributed significantly to the area of Science Education and has delivered hundreds of lectures at academic staff colleges, Indian Institute of World Culture, Centre for Education Beyond Curriculum, CII, IGNOU, KRVP & PRISM'S educational wing. He has completed many state level projects through NCERT and DSERT. He has presented papers at National and state level conferences. He has given programmes in T.V & A.I.R. He obtained NCERT award i 1998, and Dronapuraskar from a voluntary organization in 2005.
