The present book Manual of Practical Bryophyta has been written according to syllabi of most of the Indian University. Manual of Practical Bryophyta purpose is to provide the students all they required to know about the practical aspects, such as External Morphology, Anatomy of thallus, Reproductive organs, Classification and identification. This book consists of five chapters. The fist chapter includes all the basic requirements in the practical laboratory such as instruments, working of microscope, type of section cutting, staining, temp. and permanent mouting, and precautions etc. Second chapter includes the general characters of bryophyta. Chapter three to five include all necessary descriptions (classification, occurrence, work to be done, external morphology, anatomy, see organs, antheridions, archegonia, sperophyte and identification) of various plants of different classes, in very simple and lucid language with diagram.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Suresh Kumar

Suresh Kumar teaching in Department of Botany, M.M.H. College, Ghaziabad. He has been teaching graduate and post-graduate classes since 1997. Recently he has submit the thesis for Ph. D. degree. He has been presented several papers in different National and International Conferences. He is the members of many societies and associations number of abstracts, research papers and books has been to his credit.
