Marathi: A Study in Comparative South Asian Languages is a collection of papers devoted to various linguistic aspects of Marathi with special reference to other South Asian languages. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Kashi Wali

Dr. Kashi Wali is a visiting Professor at the Cornell and Syracuse Universities. She has been working on Kashmiri for last two decades and has published extensively in the fields of linguistics and South Asian languages. Her publications include Marathi Syntax: A Study of Reflexives (1989), Kashmiri: A Descriptive-Cognitive Grammar (co-author 1997), Lexical Anaphora and pronouns in Selected South Asian Languages (co-editor 2000) and a large number of papers.
