The introductory chapter gives the contexts of study and the conceptual framework of the medicinal plant sector, Chapter II gives details about policy and the legal environment issues, Chapter-III covers the details related to methodology including situation analysis, Chapter-IV gives overview of operational regulations on NTFPs in the Indian states. Chapter V gives an analysis of all the information gathered through primary and secondary sources, followed by recommendations for required action to conserve, use sustainably and enhance the medicinal plants resources.
