Herbal medicines have always been in use from the earliest times when our ancestors slowly learnt of the efficacy of the many plants to be found in our everyday environment. Even the earliest written records mention such plants and emphasise their importance for the well being of mankind. The purpose of this small volume is not to criticise or complain but rather to provide an ailing society with an alternative that may be used more as a prevention than as a cure.
