ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anna B. Fischer

Prof. (Dr.) Anna B. Fischer born in 1940 and completed her studies in Biology and English at Westphalian Wilhelm University at Munster, Germany. Later she did her Ph.D. in 1968. Dr. Fishcher worked as lecturer in Zoology at Theresian College, Mysore, India for sometime. She became scientist and Head of Tissue Culture Laboratory at Institute of Medical Microbiology, Department of Virology of Ruhl University at Essen. She was shifted to Medical Institute of Hygiene at University Dusseldorf. Presently she is Professor of Environmental Hygiene at Institute of Hygiene and Environmental Medicine, Justus-Liebig University Giessen-Germany. Prof. Fischer has published about five dozen reseaerch papers, 26 articles in books and published two books. She is Editor of the journal" Advances in Pharmacology and Toxicology". She is member of many scientific bodies such as European Tissue Culture Association, European Environmental Mutagen Society, International Society for Environmental Medicine, etc.
