ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Gunaselaran

Dr. P. Gunaselaran, Ph.D., Professor of Microbiology, head, department of genetics, and Coordinator of genomic sciences, School of Biological Sciences, Madurai, obtained his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Haryana Agricultural University, India. He had his postdoctoral experience from CNRSW, Marseilles, France and MIT, Cambridge, USA. He has also carried out several collaborative research projects at the national and international level. He has 30 years of teaching and research experience and has published over 100 research papers in national and international journals. He is bestowed with several national awards and honours. He has guided fifteenth research students who have received Ph.D. under his guidance. He has conducted several UGC/DBT-sponsored refresher courses, international, national and state-level seminars and training programmes.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Rajendran

Dr. P. Rajendran , Ph.D., currently Visiting Professor, university of Ryukyus, Japan, has been working as reader in the P.G. deprtment of Zoology, Vivekanda College, Madurai. He obtained his Ph.D. from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has more than 23 years of teaching experience and has published several research papers in national and international journals. He has conducted UGC/DBT-sponsored refresher courses, and several state-level seminars and training programmes.
