This book gives a detailed account of the political movement started by Nepal Praja Parishad to establish Monarchy-cum-Republic inNepal by abolishing the brutal Rana Regime which gave untold suffering to the Nepalese. This movement was inspired by the Anti-British movement already going on in India under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. The hanging of 4 Nepali Praja Parished leaders gave fuel to the movement and Nepalese living in India, opposed to the Rana Rule, got together and joined the Anti-Rana Movement. It gives an authentic record of the role played by the king, the various political parties, the politicians (despite their ambitions and differences) under the leadership of B.P. Koirala, the support by different Indian political parities, the political parties, the politicians and the Indian Government particularly the role of Prime Minister Mr. Nehru in the downfall of the Ranas and subsequent establishment of Monarchy-Republic in Nepal.
