This book gives an under-graduate-level introduction to Number Theory, with the emphasis on fully explained Proofs and Examples; exercises are integrated into the text. The first few chapters covering Number Sets, Real Numbers, Natural Numbers, Divisibility, Boolean Algebra Groups and are therefore suitable for under-graduate and post-graduate students as an introduction to the methods of Pure mathematics.

Elementary ideas about groups are then used to study groups of units, quadratic residues and arithmetic functions with applications to Enumeration and Cryptography. The final part, suitable for under-graduate students, uses ideas from algebra, Function, Analysis, Calculus and Series; in particular, the last chapter gives a concise account of Fourier Series.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR R K Pandey

R K Pandey was born in Uttar Pradesh in 1978. He done his schooling initially from I.C.S.E. board and then from C.B.S.E. board. He had done his graduation in Computer Sciences and post-graduation in Pure Mathematics. After completing his education he has joined Degree College as Lecturer in Mathematic and after few years he promoted as senior lecturer. In 2002 he has prepared an IIT study package with a great innovation and research work. After this he has got a great experience in the field of publication. He has written many books for graduate and post-graduate level. Many books as are used as text books in many universities, while other books are using as reference books. He had written many research papers in the field of pure mathematics.
