Organic Farming and Sustainable Agriculture

H.M. Gupta retired as Joint Director, Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan after rendering 40 years of meritorious service to state. He worked extensively on various facets of organic farming in field situation. He is the originator of conceptually new scheme for dissemination of organic agriculture in Rajasthan. Presently he is carrying out some field trials on the efficacy of organic pesticides in association with some national and international organization. He has travelled widely and has actively promoted organic farming both in teh areas of low and high fertilizer and pesticides consumption. He is the founder of Society for Organic Agriculture Movement, a poineer voluntary organization in the field of promotion of organic farming in Rajasthan. He has contributed research papers and articles to variuos newspapers, magazines and journals.
