India has always a hoary culture, a dynamic force throughout her chequered history. No better proof of it could be found than in the vitality, tenacity and adaptability of its social milieu. India is a polyglot nation with many religious and castes. No other country provides such a grand spectacle –a coming together of people specking different religions and belonging to different castes. The simultaneous unity and diversity is the ultimate strength of the people. Panorama of Indian Culture tries to touch the various shades of Indian culture down through the ages. It is hoped that the present work will be well received by the teachers, scholars and students in our Indian sub-continent and elsewhere.
