ABOUT THE AUTHOR Veer Singh Rathore

Prof. Veer Singh Rathor did B.V.Sc. & A.H. and M.V.Sc. (Parasitology) from Rajasthan Veterinary College, Bikaner and Ph.D. (Parasitology) from C.C.S. Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. He is an eminent Parasitologist with 20 years hands-on teaching and research experience and with more than 50 research publications in national and international journals of repute to his credit. He is the first recipient of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Award of ICAR in the field of Vaterinary Parasitology. He has worked on different parasitic problems and his Master’s as well as Ph.D. degrees are on Trypanosoma evansi. He visited the U.K., Japan, Thailand, South Africa and Kenya as a scientific delegate to several international symposia and conferences. He is ex-vice president and founder-member of the Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology. He is a life member of more than a dozen scientific bodies and has chaired sessions in various national and international conferences in India and abroad. Presently, he holds the additional responsibility of Director of Students Welfare of S.D. Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat.
