In this book, authors have focused their psychotherapeutic experiences on communication before conception of the parent of unborn baby. Through many windows of observation, they have explained what is actually happening in the womb. There is good news and bad news we can no longer think that the placenta can protect the prenate from anything bad going on in the mother’s body, or that the mother’s body can protect the prenate from bad things going on in her world. Mother and baby face together the perils of air, water, and earth compromised by the toxic residues of modern chemistry and physics. Parents are perhaps the last ones to learn (and their children the first ones to suffer) these tragic realities of modern life.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Alison Hallett
Alison Hallett is a consultant child psychotherapist. Her background is in Fine Art and in Philosophy. She trained as an art therapist at the University of Sheffield, UK in 1984. Since then she is working as a child psychotherapist. Over the last twenty three years of clinical work she has come to see how precariously established these idioms of self are, and how easily damaged. As these two strands of her experience has become interwoven, her area of research has become focused on the ways in which psychic trauma leaves it traces on our patterns of symbolization and communication.

Robert Hallett have been in private practice of Psychotherapy for 22 years. He is also a trainer and supervisor of other therapists. He has participated in several workshops and national and international conferences. He is a regular contributor to professional journals.
