In this book, Past, Present and Future of Kashmir compacts in detail with the dilemma of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Beginning with the art and culture of the state in ancient times it presents Kashmiri ruler-Hindus, Muslims and the British respectively. While India was to turn out to be independent it was ruled by a Hindu King who botched in also way to decide the fortune of the territory like other princely states of India.
