Kishan S. Rana served as India's ambassador and High Commissioner to algeria, the erstwhile Czechoslovakia, Kenya, Mauritius, and Germany; and as Consul General in San Francisco, besides spending a year on Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's staff. He is Professor Emeritus, Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi. As a Faculty with the Diplo Foundation he has been teaching in their e-learning programs.
