This book attempts to give most commonly used methods of pastoral economy. The livestock population is playing an important role in the economy of the state. This book is has been divided into eight chapters, each dealing with different aspects of the study viz., the first chapter briefly describes the objectives of the study, physical character of the district like location and extent, physiography, drainage, soil, climate, land use water resources and historical background of the district, socio economic character, livestock, population growth, main species, livestock concentration zone, livestock combination region, animal husbandry practices, migration pattern, infrastructure for pastoral development veterinary facilities, marketing, dairy production, wool production, leather production, meat production etc.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anju Ojha

 Dr. Anju Ojha: She obtained M.Sc. Botany degree with specialized in Mycology (1990) from J.N.V. University. She did his Ph.D. in 1997 in subject of Mycology. She joins J.N.V. University in 1998 as Guest Faculty. She has 10 years teaching experiences.
