Mr. D.R. Kaarthikeyan, a farmer by birth from a village near Coimbatore in Southern India is a Graduate in Science and Law. Practiced Law for three years and later joined the elite Indian Police Service. In that capacity held several positions including District Superintendent of Police of largest problematic districts, Director of Police Training Academy, Chief of Intelligence and Security, Karnataka State; Director of Trade Promotion in Australia with headquarters in Sydney; Diplomat and Head of Chancery in Indian Embassy in Moscow (then USSR); Chief of Investigation of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination case; Director-General of Central Reserve Police Force, the largest para-military force in India; Director of the prestigious Central Bureau of Investigation of India; Director-General in National Human Rights Commission. Currently visiting Professor in prestigious Institutions; President of ‘Life Positive’ magazine; Chairperson / President / Deputy Chairman / Adviser / Member in several voluntary organizations including like World Community Service Centre, National Agriculturist Awareness Movement, Human Rights Organization, National Alliance for Fundamental Right to Education, Bramakumari’s Academy for a Better World, All-India Conference of Intellectuals, World Congress for Peace and Harmony, Indian Council of Arbitration, Association of Asian Union, ORF Institute of Polity and Governance, Viswa Sewa Education Trust, Amity Educational Institutions and All India Panchayat Sangathan. Participated in several international conferences and published papers on matters relating to Human Rights, Terrorism, Peace, Non-violence and Harmony of Religions. Author of bestseller – “Triumph of Truth Rajiv Gandhi Assassination The Investigation”. Co-editor (along with Prof. L.S. Germani, Link Campus University, Rome) of “Pathways out of Terrorism and Insurgency: the Dynamics of Political Violence and Peace Processes in Contemporary Societies”.
