ABOUT THE AUTHOR Akash Gulalia

Akash Gulalia obtained Masters and Doctoral degrees in Social Work from University of Delhi. He is presently working as Professor in Department of Social Work, BPS Women University. He is actively involved in building the department and the university in the capacity of Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. He is an imminent scholar and practitioner having worked for over twenty year at University of Delhi, UNDP, NACO, NHAI, DFID and other bilateral agencies. He has worked extensively on HIV prevention, drug abuse and other social problems. He has contributed in making of a documentary on life of truck drivers in India titled Highway in my Veins shown on Discovery Channel. Presently he is working on HIV/TB co-infection studies and is part of EUCONET a prestigious consortium established by European Union to draw a road map and research priorities. He has written extensively in national and international journals.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR G.V.L. Narsimha Rao

GVL Narasimha Rao has done his Post Graduation in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand. He is a development researcher of national standing with experience of undertaking well over 350 research projects, mostly as the team leader, during a research career spanning over two decades. He is well known for his expertise in designing large scale sample surveys and has worked extensively on studies pertaining to health, HIV/AIDS, poverty alleviation, education etc. He writes regularly in national newspapers and appears on television on current and contextual developments.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sanjay Bhatt

Sanjay Bhatt received Master and Doctorate in Social Work and Law Degree from Lucknow University. Dr. Bhatt is presently working as professor of Social Work at Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi. He has written various research papers, books, monographs and conducted dozens evaluative studies for national and international organizations. Dr. Bhatt is involved in various movements like Chipko Movement, Voters Education Movement, Child Rights, and International Financial Institutions. At, presents he is asking Decent Work for working people in organization and unorganized sector.
