ABOUT THE AUTHOR Upendra Nath Roy

Dr. Upendra Nath Roy is a great scholar of participatory research and issues of sustainable development with special reference to watershed management. He has done PG in Rural Management. He has done PG in Rural Management from XISS, Ranchi. He worked in a leading NGO named ASSEFA in the tribal areas of Rajasthan for two years. He qualified for the UGC – Net for the JRF and lectureship in the year 1992 and joined his Ph.D at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, IIT Delhi. He has also expertise in different appropriate technologies like organic farming, vermiculture, rural sanitation and low cost construction technologies, water resource management, bee keeping etc. He has published more than 35 papers in national journals, and national and international seminar and conferences. Presently he is working as a Lecturer at Technical Teacher’s Training Institute, Chandigarh.
