Military plays a vital role of defend the territorial jurisdiction of any country. Similarly, Police discharges a key role to maintain an orderly society. The clamour for equal rights to women and ability to deal with problems faced by women police within the family and society and combat the increasing trend of crimes against women and also women criminals, the employment of Women Police have become necessary in the modern democratic workforce. Based in the practical experience as a Police Officer and keen observ3er of the working of women police in surmounting the challenges, the book tries to evaluate the extent of consumer satisfaction. There are chapters on proportion of crimes against women to India Penal Code (IPC) crimes, strength of women police, perception of the women police in –laws on their job, reasons for choosing police work as a career, reasons for quitting the previous job, treating of superiors and satisfactory level on their performance fished out from the interviews conducted from victims/complainants, witnesses and accused.
