ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.R. Mittal

Born in October, 1949, Dr. S.R. Mittal, obtained his Master’s degree in English from Meerut University, Master’s in Education from Delhi University and Ph.D. in Education from Garhwal University. He has been working in the field of Special Education for more than two decades. He is presently working as reader in Institute of Advanced Studies in Education in the Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University established by an Act o Parliament. He attended, participated and presented papers in several conferences conducted by national and international organizations. He has also published several articles and research papers in leading journals on Special Education. He is a member of several national organizations for the blind and the visually impaired people. Dr. S.R. Mittal is on the panel of experts of the Rehabilitation Council on India. He has been guiding Master’s level and Ph.D. level students on topics relating to the education of children with visual impairment.
