ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.C. Verma
(b. 1942) taught at the Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. His major works are: Mughal painters and their work: A Biographical Survey and Comprehensive Catalogue (Delhi, 1994); Flora and Fauna in Mughal Art (ed). (Mumbai, 1999); Mughal Painter of Flora and Fauna, Ustad Mansur (Delhi 1999); Crossing Cultural Frontiers, Biblical Themes in Mughal Painting (Delhi, 2011); Taj Mahal, Monumental Legacy (Delhi, 2012), and Ordinary Life in Mughal Painting, the Evidence from Painting (Delhi, 2012).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.P. Khullar
The Author is Professor of Botany, Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). He has been working on Indian Ferns especially those from the Himalaya for the past 30 years. He has collected ferns from various localities of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and the Kumaun Himalaya for the present work. Prof. Khullar is an elected "fellow" of various scientific organizations like The National Academy of Sciences, India, The Indian Botanical Society and the Indian Fern Society. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of several Botanical Journals of India. Prof. Khullar's work on ferns has been acclaimed world-wide, and he is well known in the annals of Pteridological Research.
