Inclusive growth is a major concern for human development in India with rising inequalities. ABOUT THE AUTHOR J.R. Dholakia

J R Dholakia is veteran business journalist with more than three decades long experience. Having done Masters in Economics from Mumbai University, he is well-known for his analytical perspectives on business happenings in the economic capital of India, Mumbai. Presently, he is working as a Consulting Editor at Icfai Business School Research Centre, Mumbai. He worked for 17 years with the Research Bureau of The Economic Times (Mumbai). His period at Economic Times was during the shift of Indian economy from the stagnant Hindu growth rate to the booming growth rate achieved after post liberalisation developments. He has also contributed five years in the Business and Political Observer which is Reliance Group Newspaper. Considering his journalistic expertise he was also invited to be part of several industry studies. One of his affiliations was with Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). During his tenure with Business India, he wrote a regular column which was highly appreciated by business fraternity. He is well-known for his expertise on the urbanisation and economic development especially during the post liberalisation urban centric growth period. His analysis mainly involves pragmatic perspective on holistic development.
