Plant Diversity in India : Present Status, and Conservation Strategies proceedings of the two-day national symposium is being published as volume consist of research papers covering the diversity of various groups of plant including species diversity, genetic diversity and microbial diversity. The author have dealt with the various aspects of the plant wealth in India and have also shown considerable concern on the vanishing and threatened species. Many papers have been included to highlight the need for conservation of specific germplasm of various species of plants which are on the threshold of extinction. This volume is as a commemoration volume in honour of three distinguished plant scientists who superannuated during the recent year.
