Political Ideas and Institutions are the norms to guide human action. When an individual comes into contact with these norms a number of problems arise which need conceptual clarity. Why do they arise? What effect do they have on society? How have political scientists looked at these concepts? Aim of this book is to deal with some of these questions relating to political ideas and institutions. Effort has been made to select material interesting and important for the use of students as well as teachers.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR R.K. Pruthi
R. K. Pruthi was awarded the Ph.D. Degree from Kurukshetra University on “Annie Besant†being the first research work on the subject. Also obtained Degrees in Law and Education from Delhi and Kurukshetra Universities respectively. A seasoned teacher and researcher, he was till recently the Deputy Director (Research) at Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi. A celebrated author and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Pruthi has written many outstanding books and encyclopaedias.
