Population Education and Family Planning

The third world’s population problem, and India’s in particular, has been well publicised. A grim picture is generally given where all capable institutions are shown to be inactive. However, ever since the attainment of independence, family planning has been an aspect to which successive governments have given special attention. This book charts the development of the family planning programme till the present day. It also showcases the success of the programme in terms of increased awareness, greater acceptance of contraceptives, declining rates of population growth and so on.
