This book will show how the factors of Caste and Community started making a strong dent into the politics of Bihar as well as the politics of India in general. The period unfolds some serious questions of power and politics which was getting percellized amongst emerging political parties and various elites. There is no denying that the period (1973-85) is a period characterized as glorious Congress rule in Bihar. This period shows that the congress remained a dominant force in Bihar. Many social and physical infrastructures were built and many more developed with the passage of time. Apart from the political equation which accompanied the period of progress, the study of this particular period became a short of stimulant to convert my interest into a research work, also due to the lack of secondary historical work on this particular period.
