ABOUT THE AUTHOR Leena Mary Eapen

Leena Mary Eapen holds an MA in Economics from Madras Christian College. She has submitted her Ph.D dissertation on "Power Sector Reforms in India: A Study of Institutions and Organisational Behaviour" at Madras School of Economics, Chennai. Her areas of specialisation are Energy Economics and Institutional Economics. Currently she is working in the areas of issues of restructuring/privatization of public sector undertakings particularly state electricity boards; issues related to implementation of economic reforms using principles of new institutional economics and political economy of reforms; public finance; and comparative aspects of India and China. She has five years of teaching experience and she has published research papers and popular articles in peer reviewed journals, edited books, Indian business magazines and financial dailies. She has also presented research papers in various national conferences. Currently, she is working as a Faculty Member-Consulting Editor at the IBS Research Center (IRC), Chennai focusing on the development of Professional Reference Books and teaching in the area of Economics.
