ABOUT THE AUTHOR G.C. Banik

Dr. G.C. Banik is presently the Chief General Manager (PR) in Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL). He is an MBA (with specialization in Marketing) and a post-graduate in Arts/Journalism. He was conferred Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology) by the University of Mumbai. He is one of the first Indians to obtain a doctorate degree in Public Relations. Dr. Banik has presented over 60 professional papers in Public Relations.
