ABOUT THE AUTHOR Nasra Shabnam

Dr. Nasra Shabnam is currently working as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. After doing her Master Degree in History, obtained her B.Ed and M.Ed. degree from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and did M.Phil (Education) and Ph.D. (Extension Education) from Jamia Millia Islamia. She worked over the years in the area and made valuable contribution in non-formal and pre-school education. She is also working with Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial Welfare, Society as a co-coordinator of ‘Ibtida’ project. It is a community based empowering programme for universalisation of elementary education. She coordinate with MCD schools and its staff members, monitor and supervise Master Trainers, teachers and volunteers. She plan, Organise and conduct training programmes and workshops for teachers.
