ABOUT THE AUTHOR Niladri Kumar Mitra

Mr. N.K. Mitra is a graduate in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and is a well-known oil and gas professional from India. He has worked with ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) India for 36 years, including 5 years as Offshore Director, ONGC. He is currently associated with E&P Business, Reliance Industries Limited since the year 2009. He has been credited with many a firsts and has been instrumental in giving new directions to oil and gas businesses in India. His views and perceptions are widely acknowledged in the industry circle. He is amongst the few front-runners in the area of interactive knowledge sharing and mentoring. He has chaired and steered many international and national conferences and has put forward a number of new perspectives and paradigms for the oil and gas industry through his articles, keynote addresses and presentations. He has also authored another book "Fundamentals of Floating Production System" which has been widely acclaimed by institutes and individuals.
