In a cross-cultural perspective, this book depicts the problems and potentials of women professionals. Data were collected from both Indian and Canadian women, applying a structured questionnaire developed by the author, covering a large number of areas of enquiry. The information thus gathered were analysed in three major sections. Thus the book with its transdisiplinary character covers a wide range of germane issues and problems of professional women. The richness and complexity of these issues and the scientific rigor of these research-based perspectives, have tremendous implication on the future of women professionals. This book is unique in the sense that in addition to historical development of women’s movement, it has demonstrated very clearly the issues and problems embedded in the mind of the professional women. The author has critically and scientifically examined all these issues and problems. The book will be very helpful to psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists and policy makers. For all those who engage themselves in women studies, the book will prove cogent and comprehensive.
