Problems of Youth

Youth in all ages have been in the vanguard of progress and social change. Thirst for freedom impatience for a quicker pace of progress and a passion for innovation, coupled with idealism and creative fervour saw the youth in the forefront of freedom struggle. Youth represent the most vibrant section of the society. They play a pivotal role in socio-economic changes and development of the society. A nation can progress only when the energy of youth is channelised into constructive work. It is imperative that youth are given a major role in the process of development. The existing scenario of the country reflects multifarious problems connected with youth, which manifest in many unlawful activities of misguided youth. The immense resources of youth, if galvanized, can work as a major force of socio-economic change. The government of India created the separate of Department of Youth Affairs & Sports under the Ministry of Human Resource Development and formulated a National Youth Policy to channelise youth’s energy into constructive work.
