ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anil Kumar Verma
Dr. Anil Kumar Verma, born on 10th June, 1968 in a village Karohta in district of Himachal Pradesh. He did his doctorate in Horticulture (Post Harvest Technology) from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP). He has qualified the NET examination conducted by ICAR in 1999 in the professional subject Horticulture (Floriculture). He has published more than 15 research papers in various Research Journals and presented papers in National and International seminars/symposia. Beside this, he has also written around 60 popular articles and delivered a number of lectures to the farmers. He has authored seven books i.e., Nutritional guide to all ages, A practical manual on analytical chemistry, Mathematical applications in post harvest technology, Food Safety, A practical manual-practical chemistry application in Post Harvest Technology, Pushp beej utpadan-Ek vayavsai, Swarojgar-sushak pushp utpadan and polyhouse avam carnation. His contributions are useful to students as well as to the farmers community.

Dr. Dharaminder Kumar has obtained his Bachelors degree in Horticulture, Master of Science and Doctorate in Horticulture (vegetable Science) from Dr. Y.S. Parmar university of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP). He has qualified Net in Horticulture (Vegetable Science) in the year 2001. He has published 14 research papers in different reputed Journals and many popular articles in Hindi and English. Besides, he has also authored 4 books in Hindi, which has set a benchmark of new era publications in Horticulture. He has worked in different projects as Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate and worked as consultant with different organizations. At present he is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Vegetables Sciences, Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, solan, (HP).

Dr. Anil Gupta, born on 24th April 1980 in district Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. He has obtained his Bachelors degree in horticulture and Post Graduation in Horticulture (Post harvest Technology) from Y.S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP). He has more than Six year experience in research in the discipline of Post Harvest Technology, especially processing of temperate fruits and processing of stone fruit kernels for oil extraction. He has contributed a number of research papers, popular articles in various reputed Journals and also contributed chapters in books; authored one book. At present, he is giving his services in the department of Post Harvest Technology, Dr. Y.S. Parmar Univerisity of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan (HP).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR SPS Guleria
Dr. SPS Guleria, born on 10th February, 1948, a native of Jullundur Cantt (Punjab) is a renowned Post Harvest Technologist of international repute. He ahs more than 32 years of experience in teaching, research and extension in the discipline of Post harvest technology especially processing and preservation of fruits and vegetables. Dr. Guleria started his carrier as senior technical Assistant and subsequently as Assistant Professor (Food Technology) and reached to the position of Professor in Post Harvest Technology. He had his graduation from HPU, Shimla, Post graduation for PAU, Ludhiana and Doctoratship from IIT, New Delhi. He has also published four books; manual on Post Harvest handling of fresh fruits and vegetables, Manual on analytical chemistry and Mathematical applications in post harvest technology, Food safety and Nutritional guide to all ages. Professor Guleria has visited many countries of the world like Denmark, Germany and France. He has pursued his Ph. D. research programme on “Preservation of horticulture produce and process waste recycling under supervision Professor, Padma Vasudevan, IIT, New Delhi. He also had advanced technology training and diploma in preparing transport manual for perishable from CFTRI, Mysore and Food Technology Lab, Lyngby, Denmark respectively.
