Talking of moderns is a current fashion, and it has been so right from the inception of curiosity to defy and decry, a tendency to perform something new, out of an innovative mind, away from the defined term; that is why the exact time of its beginning remains controversial to both the historians and the critics – and we talk of not only the moderns rather post-post-moderns. To me modernity signifies a departure from the set norms at any point of time, you may agree or not agree with me. The writers of the same pattern have been criticised and anthologised here in a new perspective, with a new variance and new facet.
