The decision to write this book was not a very difficult one. When my father, Om Prakash Rana passed away, I decided to write his story. He was a man of many parts a committed Advocate and a devoted family man. I felt it would be an appropriate way of paying tribute to someone who was fond of reading. Law was his first love- he spent 40 years practicing at the Supreme Court. While I was writing this book, I sometimes felt I was describing a stranger, but at the same time, I was constantly aware, that I was writing about my father. Hopefully this book will give the reader an insight and an appreciation of the way he lead his life, as I have appreciated and tried to live it.
