ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sumita Das

Sumita Das (n. 1971) has been working in National Archives of India, New Delhi, since 2003. She has completed her Ph.D form University of Madras and was a Junior Research Fellow of Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi. She has publication of several papers to her credit, encompassing a wide range of areas of research including women and journalism, social and economic growth of Tamil Nadu.
