The book is an exploration in characteristics of reproductive health, beliefs and practices among tribal people of India. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Chakrapani Upadhyay

Dr. Chakrapani Upadhyay has been a lecturer at Bhupal Nobles’ Post Graduate College Udaipur, since 1999. Earlier he was a lecturer at Bhupal Nobles’ Girls Post Graduate College, Udaipur and guest faculty in the Department of Sociology, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University Udaipur. He is a Gold medallist in M.A. Sociology (1997) and Ph.D. in Sociology (2001) from M.L. Sukhadia University Udaipur. He has worked on several projects including base-line survey of reproductive health, carried out by Seva Mandir, Udaipur and UNICEF, Multi Indicator Cluster Survey by Population Research Centre Udaipur. He has presented 15 papers in conferences and published five papers in renowned journals. He is a life member of Rajasthan Sociological Society and treasurer of Samajshastra Hindi Karya Samiti.
