ABOUT THE AUTHOR Abdul Matin

Dr. Abdul Matin has completed his M.A. and M.Phil. at the Patna University and Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi respectively. He was awarded the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing higher studies in Canada. He has earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Canada. At present he is a Reader in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has been teaching research methods, statistics and computer use to B.A. and M.A. students since 1990. He is teaching this subject to MSW students also. Dr. Matin was conferred Man of the Year 1999 by the International Board of Research, American Biographical Institute, Inc., Releigh, North Carolina, USA. His biographical note has been published in Asian/American Who’s Who, Asia/Pacific Who’s Who, International Biographical Research Foundation (Nagpur) and International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, North Carolina, USA. He has numerous publications to his credit. His specialization is in Agrarian Social Structure. He has research interests is in Sociology of Information Technology.
