This book seeks to examine the current urban policies and land acquisition practices in India. It analyzes the implications of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 for land acquisition and the ongoing role of private sector in urban development, housing, infrastructure and real estate.
